As the new crescent was sighted on Sunday 10th March 2024, we would like to welcome in Ramadhaan 2024/1445 AH, taraaweh starts following Isha tonight, and sawm (fasting) begins on Monday 11th March, 2024 inshaa Allah. We pray everyone has a productive and rewarding Ramadhaan, bi-idhnillahi Ta’aala.
“Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha’baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days” [transmitted by Bukhari and Muslim].
TARAAWEH PRAYERS
The Mosque is insha Allah, open for Ramadhaan Taraaweh prayers under the following guidelines:
- Attendees are advised to already be in state of wudhu (ablution) in order to ease pressure on the Wudhu facilities.
- Please be aware that the Mosque has got residential neighbours in the adjacent estate, and we must not disturb the neighbours during and after the Taraaweh Prayers.
There are 2 sessions of Taraaweh Prayers during the Holy Month of Ramadhan, timings are as below as well as on the Ramadhan timetable which can be located here.
1st Taraaweh: Isha Prayer starts at 8:15 pm until 14 March 2024, at 8:30 pm until 30 March 2024, at 9:40 pm until 4 April 2024, and at 9:50 pm afterwards.
2nd Taraaweh: Isha Prayer starts at 11:00 pm but might change slightly depending on the time of completion of the 1st Taraaweh.
FAJR
During the month of Ramadhan congregational prayer for Fajr will be 20 minutes after Fajr begin time.
IFTAAR
- Daily Iftaar services will be provided for those present in the Mosque for Maghrib prayers at the time of breaking the fast, such as light food, Tamr (dates), juices and water.
- Catered Weekend Community Iftaar are also being arranged on every Saturday during Ramadhan, we are looking for Sponsors and generous donors towards actualizing this. Please kindly donate generously

We pray to Allah, a’azza wajalla, for the protection of the entire Ummah and for the acceptance of our fasting and supplications during the Holy Month (Aameen).
